Springfield Country Club first opened for play in 1900. The course was designed by Donald Ross.
The Springfield Country Club measurs 6,531 yards from the back tees and plays to a par of 72. The course rating is 71.9 and it has a slope rating of 131.
This course's fairways are wide and tree lined. Water hazards come into play on four holes, including the signature hole, #6, a 408-yard, par 4, which requires a blind tee shot, then an approach shot over a stream to the green. The Massachusetts Golf Association has rated this as the second hardest hole in western Massachusetts.

The Pro and Greenskeeper are amongst the best in the area...some funky holes but will keep your attention. Greens have been 10+ on stimp most of the summer. Great fun membership.
